Mr Olaniyan, is a First Class Graduate in Quantity Survey (Joseph Ayo Babalola University), he also possesses the following educational qualifications: an OND and HND in Quantity Survey from The Polytechnic, Ibadan, 1983 and 1986 (Upper Credit), Managerial Psychology MMP (University of Ibadan Master in, 1998), (M.Sc) Quantity Survey (Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife).
He is a Member: Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors MNIQS, 1991 Fellow: Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors FNIQS, 2015. Registered Member: Quantity Surveyors Registration Board of Nigeria. Member: Society of Construction Industry Arbitrators MSCIArb. 1997.
